To Whom It Concerns: The totality of television viewing (ie. 24
hours per day) is out of control. It is full of propaganda, sex,
nudity, racism, obscene language, homosexuality, and outright
prevarication. This begins with the so-called news programming
(total propaganda) from abc, cbs, nbc, cnn, etc., to awards shows,
reality TV, sitcoms, soap operas, movies and so on. The actual
violence is so common place it is pervasive. Does it affect the
culture of kids, you darn well better believe it does. Look at
the drop out rates from schools, teen violence, music listened to,
clothes being worn, kids not working, gang proliferation, drug
use, and I could go on forever. Mainly the kids of today don't
understand responsibility, discipline, work ethic (work forget
it), respect for others, nor have a structure to their lives. I
will let the government take care of me,(food stamps,housing,
pregnancy, welfare) because I can do as I please when I please.
There are plenty of good kids but if they see others getting away
with all the above it does infuence their thinking and
consequently their choices of what to do. God Help this Country!
