Before the FCC decided to pursue Net Neutrality protections, Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck
warned his audience that the government was "trying to take over the media." Beck later said that Net
Neutrality would "wildly affect your life and free speech" by forcing a "Marxist utopia" on the Internet.
Mr. Beck should be grateful for a country whose freedoms are protected as much as the ACLU
protects the freedoms that remain in these United States. Only a society as free as the US would
allow him to say the things he does in order to eliminate freedoms, abolish liberty, andn outlaw
brotherhood in any form. We all know Mr. Beck represents the "Lunatic fringe" better than anyone
does, and his antics do provide a more amusement than any one so-called "news" network should
provide. However, to take this irresponsible charlatan seriously as any kind of spokesman for
anything would be a mistake. We should preserve media freedom, and therefore net neutrality, not
because of--but in spite of--commentators such as Mr. Beck. Thank you for your time and attention.
