On December 7, 2010, Philipp Humm, President and Chief Executive Officer of T-
Mobile USA, Inc. (?T-Mobile?), Neville Ray, T-Mobile?s Chief Technology Officer, Luisa
Lancetti, Chief Counsel ? Law and Policy for T-Mobile, and the undersigned met with Chairman
Julius Genachowski, Josh Gottheimer, and John Leibovitz.
During the meeting, the T-Mobile executives introduced themselves and provided a brief
general overview of the important role T-Mobile will continue to play as it rolls out its 4G
HSPA+ network in benefiting consumers in the wireless industry with competitive value and
choice. The T-Mobile representatives also expressed strong support for the Commission?s
ongoing efforts to make more spectrum available for mobile broadband use as quickly as
possible in order to accommodate future growth and mobile broadband technology and ensure
the U.S. remains globally competitive.
In addition, the T-Mobile executives discussed the pending proceedings identified above,
urging the FCC to move forward rapidly on its data roaming and D Block dockets consistent
with the recommendations of the National Broadband Plan. In discussing each of these issues,
the T-Mobile representatives reiterated the views T-Mobile has expressed in its previous filings
with the Commission.
