T-mobile has been and still is much more competitive on price than AT&T. T-mobile has helped offer new options to consumers in a market where most agree new pricing/contract/non-contract options are needed but little has developed. They are the only of the 4 major carriers that offers lower monthly rates for customers who buy a phone outright and upfront, they are the only carrier offering this service. As phones and the data they deliver become evermore involved in our lives, consumers need more choices, not less. In an information delivery field where the price to deliver those services constantly falls, the telecom industry's prices have been going up. One only need to look to the text message pricing shams and scams of the last decade to see that, the 4g data pricing wars have only begun on this front. These hardly tells of an industry with a surfeit of competition. Also, the Ma Bell monopoly was broken up for a reason. Few my words certainly are against AT&T,the largest lobbying corporation in the United States, but that doesn't make them any less right.
