The merger of AT&T and T-Mobile would effectively create a monopoly for AT&T over GSM cell
coverage in the US. Consumers wishing to use GSM world phones in the US and abroad would be
severely limited to AT&T and there would be no room for true capitalist competition and AT&T's
stranglehold on the market could result in prices and charges not being effectively regulated by the
market and competition.
